County’s Liquor Stores to Return to Normal Hours Starting Sunday

The county’s retail stores operated by the Department of Alcohol Beverage Services will return to normal operating hours as of Sunday, June 13, officials announced.

Local stores in Silver Spring, White Oak and Long Branch will, like most of the county’s other outlets, be open from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

In addition, the stores will again be open on Sundays from noon-5 p.m.

“With more than 60 percent of our residents vaccinated, ABS stores are ready to resume normal hours. I would like to thank everyone for their patience and cooperation during this very challenging time,” County Executive Marc Elrich said in a press release. “Resuming normal hours is another indication of the progress we have made.”

Stores will no longer have capacity limits, unvaccinated patrons will be encouraged to voluntarily wear masks, and there will be no social distance requirements.
