County seeks internet access data to help improve service

In an effort to learn more about internet access for residents and businesses, Montgomery County has launched a web-based survey to collect information about quality, speed and costs. Checkspeedmontgomery.com is a short survey individuals can take to test internet speed. Foulger-Pratt sells Silver Spring medical office building

The Class A office space, located at 1400 Forest Glen Rd., was purchased by Nashville-based Healthcare Realty for a reported $24 million. This is the second D.C.-area medical office building the company has purchased in the D.C. area. The 64,000 square foot building was built in 2004 in a joint venture between Foulger-Pratt and a global real estate investment management firm. The downtown restaurant featured organic (and sometimes pricey) ingredients and offered gluten-free options as well as vegetarian and vegan items. Law would ensure dogs off leash are legal in municipal dog parks

Dogs would be legally off leash in dog parks established by municipalities under legislation recently introduced by Councilmember Sidney Katz (D-District 3). Current rules allow dogs to be off leash in county dog parks run by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, such as the Ellsworth Urban Dog Park in Silver Spring. Takoma Park business group wins grant for public art project
