Locavino Readies for Mid-August Opening

Locavino, the wine café that will replace Adega at 8519 Fenton St., is planning a mid-August opening, according to an announcement to supporters from owners Jarrod Jabre and Justin Wallace.

The business has passed three different inspections by the Department of Health and Human Services, including for food safety and a pre-opening environmental inspection, as well as going through various inspections from the Department of Permitting Services.

The café will host a private event for friends and supporters, followed by a grand opening for the general public. The celebration will include free wine tastings and special food selections, the announcement said.

The ownerslaunched a Kickstarter campaign earlier this year with a $10,000 goal to supplement their current financing, and raised more than $15,000 from almost 150 supporters.

The Source will post more details about the opening as they are available.
