Lime & Cilantro Draws Praise for Modern Latin Cuisine on ‘Signature Dish’

Lime & Cilantro is one of three area restaurants featured in this week’s episode of the WETA television series Signature Dish.

Former Art and Soul executive chef Danny Chavez opened the modern Latin-focused restaurant last year in the former home of Krazy Steve’s Comfort Cuisine and Armand’s Chicago Pizzeria.

In the “Latin American Kitchen” episode aired on Monday night, Signature Dish host Seth Tillman first travels to Woodbridge to visit the popular food truck Lechonera DMV, where he samples their authentic Puerto Rican lechon.

He then samples the complex and flavorful Braised Short Rib Mole at the “casually stylish” Lime & Cilantro (video below), and concludes his culinary journey at Ceibo in Adams Morgan, where he enjoys Chorizo Dumplings served in a kombu broth.

Lime & Cilantro is located at 1909 Seminary Road in Montgomery Hills and online at limencilantro.com. The “Latin American Kitchen” episode and a schedule of Signature Dish airdates are available online at weta.org.
