Roaming Rooster will host the grand opening of its new restaurant in Downtown Silver Spring on Thursday, offering free fried chicken sandwiches to the first 100 customers.
The local chain’s ownership team, along with elected officials, community leaders, and special guests, will host the grand opening celebration featuring a live DJ and a variety of interactive activities throughout the day, including giveaways of gift cards, free samples, and Roaming Rooster merchandise.
The grand opening celebration will begin at noon on Thursday, April 24, according to Roaming Rooster marketing director Jerusalem Tilahun.
D.C.-based RAMMY Award finalist Roaming Rooster began as a food truck in 2015 and quickly established itself as a local chain, popular for its menu of fried chicken sandwiches, tenders, wings, and more.
The Downtown Silver Spring location, which has been operating in soft opening mode for over two weeks, is the local chain’s third in Montgomery County, following Pike & Rose in North Bethesda and the Firstfield Shopping Center in Gaithersburg.
Roaming Rooster at 8537 Georgia Ave. is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and online at roamingroosterdc.com.
