Quarry House Tavern Hiring Staff in Preparation for Reopening Next Month

The Quarry House Tavern is looking to hire staff in preparation for reopening next month, according to owner Jackie Greenbaum.

“We’re aiming for the first week of June, but we have a lot of work to do to reopen, including hiring and training new staff so it might take shortly longer,” she said in an email to the Source.

Greenbaum is also planning to bring back outdoor seating at the location on 8401 Georgia Ave., though it won’t be as much as last year.

“We lost the parking apron; the Purple Line [construction] took it back,” she wrote. “We will probably put a few tables on the sidewalk, but there’s not much room without the apron.

“However, when we reopen, our staff will be fully vaccinated and we will be at 50% occupancy if not more by then,” Greembaum added. “We assume we’ll have a sufficient customer base of vaccinated folks who will return inside.”

The tavern is looking for service staff such as servers, bartenders, bussers, and hosts, along with some kitchen staff as well. Interested applicants can email [email protected] for information.
