Detectives Seek Public’s Help in Armed Robbery of Papa John’s

County detectives with the Major Crimes Division are looking for the public’s help to solve a recent armed robbery of the Papa John’s restaurant at 1133 East-West Highway.

The incident involving three suspects occurred at about 2:20 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31.

“One of the suspects served as a lookout while the other two suspects, one armed with a rifle and one armed with a handgun, stole employees’ personal property and cash from one of the registers,” according to a department press release.

These three are believed to be the same suspects in armed robberies at a Subway restaurant in Washington, D.C, and a liquor store in Oxon Hill, Prince George’s County, later that same day, police said.

The department is asking that anyone with information about these suspects contact the Major Crimes Division at 240.773.5100.

Tipsters may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) or submit a Crime Solvers tip online or via the app. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of this suspect. Tipsters will remain anonymous.
