FedEx Office will close its store at 1407 East-West Highway Aug. 21 and open the next day at its new location on the corner of Georgia and Wayne avenues, according to a staff member who spoke to Source of the Spring today.

The store will occupy the majority of the space that formerly housed an Office Depot outlet.

The rest of the space will be taken by Massage Envy, according to The Peterson Companies’ website.

FedEx Office is a FedEx subsidiary that provides a retail outlet for FedEx Express and FedEx Ground shipping, along with printing (including photos), copying and binding services, shipping and packing supplies, computer access and Wi-Fi. Unlike The UPS Store (its primary competitor), all FedEx Office stores are corporate-owned.

Massage Envy is a nationwide wellness franchise providing massage and skin care services,” according to the company website.

The company, based in Scottsdale, Ariz., opened its first store in 2002. Nationwide, there are now 1,170 locations in 49 states.

Massage Envy has 29 locations in Maryland, including Bethesda, College Park and Rockville.
