Detectives Seek Information About Suspects in Silver Spring Carjacking

Detectives from the county’s Major Crime Division are looking for information about three male suspects in a Dec. 22 carjacking in Silver Spring.

The male victim was in his car about 9 p.m. ready to leave a parking lot near Red Lobster at 8533 Georgia Ave. when the suspects approached.

“The suspects forcibly removed the victim from his vehicle and then assaulted the victim,” according to a press release. “The suspects were last seen in the victim’s car driving south on Colesville Road toward Washington, D.C.”

The witness described all three suspects as black males; one was described as having a skinny build, in his mid-20s and wearing a grey jacket.
