With Public’s Help, Police Identify, Arrest Two Robbery Suspects

With help from the public’s tips, county detectives have identified and arrested two of the three suspects in a July 27 robbery at Esther’s Beauty Salon/Supplies at 9309 Georgia Ave., according to a press release.

One suspect was identified as Curtis Pegues, age 19, of Saint Mortiz Drive in Temple Hills, Md. He was arrested and charged with armed robbery and first-degree assault and is being held without bond.

Charges are pending against a second suspect, a 14-year-old male juvenile from Washington, D.C. The third suspect, pictured below, has not yet been identified.

The department released surveillance video of the incident on Aug. 1, and asks that anyone who has information about the robbery or the third suspect call the Major Crimes Division at 240.773.5070.
