Unlike at least two other jurisdictions in the area and the federal government, Montgomery County’s government offices will be open on Inauguration Day Jan. 20.

The county schools and the school system’s administrative offices will be closed, however.

The county’s park system offices will be closed but most of their facilities will be open. See their website for a complete list.

Recreation facilities, libraries and county liquor stores will be open, as will Maryland state offices and courts. Regular parking fees will apply at garages and parking meters. Rid On buses will operate on a normal schedule.
