Police Release Surveillance Video from Ellsworth Place Theft

Investigators from the county police’s 3rd District Patrol Investigation Unit have released surveillance video from a theft that occurred in Ellsworth Place at 8661 Colesville Rd.

The incident took place at approximately 9:45 p.m. on March 25 in the Trendy Nails & Spa Salon, police said.

The two suspects, a male and a female, watched as an employee counted the day’s cash and checks and placed them in a bag, which was then put under the counter.

“A review of business surveillance video showed the male suspect observing the employee placing the business proceeds in the bag,” according to a department press release. “The male suspect can then be seen on video stealing the bag from under the counter while the female suspect blocked the view of any employees.”

The police are asking for the public’s assistance to identify the suspects. Anyone with information can call the unit at 240.773.6870.
