Reduce any library fines today

Today is the last day borrowers can reduce any Montgomery County library fines they may have during Food for Fines 2016.

Each canned good or non-perishable food item delivered to the any library branch will reduce fines or hold fees by $1.

The food will be donated to theĀ Manna Food Center. Of particular interest are shelf-stable foods such as canned fruits, vegetables and meats, dried beans, brown rice, quinoa, low sugar cereals, baby food, formula, and vegetarian items. No opened food or home-canned items will be accepted.

The Silver Spring branch of the library is open until 5 p.m. today.
