The county’s Recreation Department will hold auditions for the 2018 MoCo’s Got Talent competition beginning next week.

The contest is open to county residents enrolled in high school or middle school, who may enter in three categories—music, dance and visual arts.

The top performers from each audition will be invited to the semifinals on April 28. The top 12 chosen from that group will perform at The Fillmore Silver Spring on May 20.

Winners in each category will receive a prize package and may also be selected to perform at the Summer Concert Series on July 5, and in the county’s Thanksgiving parade, also held in Silver Spring, on November 17.
