Brookside Gardens Among Yelp’s Top 25 Gardens in North America

Brookside Gardens is one of the Top 25 Gardens in North America, according to Yelp. The 50-acre, horticultural display garden located within Wheaton Regional Park was ranked #25 on the list.

“We identified businesses in the botanical gardens category, then ranked those spots using a number of factors including the total volume and ratings of reviews,” Yelp said, describing their ranking methodology. “All businesses were marked open on Yelp as of March 15, 2021.”

Brookside Gardens is also home to a new temporary outdoor art installation memorializing the county’s victims of COVID–19. “Facets of Hope” is a series of crystal strands suspended among wisteria vines, each one honoring a local resident who died of the virus.

The Brookside Gardens grounds are open daily from sunrise to sunset, and the Visitor Center is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The conservatory is currently closed during the pandemic.
