Armed Robbery Suspects Sought by Takoma Park Police

Takoma Park Police are asking the public for any information regarding four suspects in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on May 22 at Pritis Fashion & Jewelry in the Takoma/Langley Crossroads neighborhood.

“On May 22, 2022, at approximately 2:50 pm, Takoma Park Police responded to the 1100 block of University Blvd. (Pritis Fashion & Jewelry) for the report of a commercial armed robbery,” police spokesperson Cathy Plevy said in an emailed community advisory. “At approximately 2:40 pm, four Black males entered the establishment; one in possession of a handgun and the other a hammer. The suspect with the hammer used it to force open the door. Once the four suspects entered the jewelry store, they broke several glass cases and stole property. The suspects fled in an unknown direction in a dark-colored vehicle.

“Lookout information was provided to all surrounding jurisdictions. Investigation continues under case #220020213. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to please call us at (301) 270-1100.”
