Portion of Sligo Creek Trail, Parkway to be Closed for Trail Repairs

Portions of Sligo Creek Trail and Parkway will be closed for trail repairs for about four weeks beginning Monday, March 7, Montgomery Parks officials announced.

The repairs will address drainage to make improvements to mitigate flooding on the trail as well as improve safety.

The parkway from Maple Avenue to Old Carroll Avenue will be closed to traffic, but available to pedestrians and bicyclists. The trail will be shut down between Maple Avenue and the trail bridge at Jackson Avenue.

Vehicular traffic will be detoured onto Maple, Lincoln and Old Carroll avenues.
