Takoma Park Releases Data Explorer to Provide Census Community Survey Data

Takoma Park has released the Takoma Park Data Explorer, which allows residents and others to learn more about the city with information from the Census American Community Survey data for 2015-2019.

The website includes information such as demographics, racial and economic inequalities, and access to broadband internet among residents in the city of about 17,700 people. It’s organized into interactive visualizations and compares results for Takoma Park to Montgomery County and the state.

The categories are organized by tabs and sub-tabs and will be updated annually.

Instructions on how to use the new tool are online, and a video to assist users with instructions is expected soon, according to a press release.
