Olive Lounge, Middle Eastern Cuisine to Combine Locations, Menus

Takoma Park’s Olive Lounge, and its neighboring sister restaurant Middle Eastern Cuisine, will combine operations and offer a single menu that will be available all day, according to a post from earlier this week on Olive Lounge’s Instagram account.

As stated in the post, items on the combined menu will be available all day. Customers won’t have to wait until 4 p.m. to order items from the Olive Lounge menu and will be able to order from the Middle Eastern Cuisine menu much later at night.

Renovations to combine the two restaurants are already underway.

“Today, we announce the official Olive Expansion,” the Instagram post reads. “The two-sided restaurant will become one. There will be one concise menu that will consist of all the favorites you are used to BUT now all the food items will be available all day! So no more waiting until 4 p.m. for your wings, quesadilla, and all the other goodies, and no worries, your falafel, shawarma, and gyros will be available for later night eats as well. We are excited to announce this and looking forward to post-Covid days, where our new patio will be available for seating for lunch and dinner. In the meantime, if you wanted to visit the Middle Eastern Cuisine, enter through the Olive Lounge this Monday – Wednesday for lunch or carryout. The renovations will start this evening. 2021 will have many new and exciting changes for our customers as we work on this transition. Thank you all for your support through the years and more to come.”
