As consumers enter the peak period for online holiday shopping, the office of Comptroller Peter Franchot has issued a series of tips to help shoppers thwart cyber criminals.

Thanksgiving Parade entertains thousands
On a chilly Saturday, 145 units entertained thousands of attendees as they walked, marched, strutted, danced, drove and rode through downtown Silver Spring for the 20th Annual Montgomery County Thanksgiving Parade.
