Interested older adults can take a 10-week course in basics for the iPad at Long Branch Library beginning June 6.

The course is one of several technology classes being offered at different library branches this summer, sponsored by Montgomery County Public Libraries, the Department of Technology Services and ultraMontgomery.

The courses are designed for adults 60 and older by the New York City-based Older Adults Technology Services, which operates the Senior Planet technology center in Manhattan.

The iPad course will cover the basics of using an iPad including how to browse the web, use email, download apps, watch videos, take pictures, connect online and more.

The class will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30-2:45 p.m. and will run for 10 weeks at the library, located at 8800 Garland Ave.

Participants can register online or by calling 240.753.0676.
