Hen Quarter Holds Grand Opening

Hen Quarter, the Southern-themed restaurant and bourbon bar on Ellsworth Drive, held its ribbon cutting and grand opening last night.

The menu includes updated Southern fare including Southern-fried chicken, Virginia ham steaks, shrimp and grits, short ribs and barbecued chicken, along with accompaniments such as collard greens, pickled okra and fried green tomatoes.

The bar features more than 40 different bourbons, along with a dozen types of rye whisky and a selection of Scotch and Irish whiskeys.

The restaurant is open Monday-Thursday 11 a.m.-11 p.m., Friday 11 a.m.-midnight, Saturday 10 a.m.-midnight, and Sunday 10 a.m.-10 p.m. It offers happy hours weekdays and brunch Saturday and Sunday.
