Hen Quarter, a Southern-themed restaurant and bourbon bar, will open soon in the space formerly occupied by Austin Grill on Ellsworth Drive.
The restaurant will be operated by the same ownership group that ran Austin Grill and currently operates American Tap Room restaurants in Rockville, Bethesda and Reston, Va.
The group recently opened the first Hen Quarter concept in Alexandria, Va. The menu features updated Southern fare including Southern-fried chicken, Virginia ham steaks, shrimp and grits, short ribs and barbecued chicken, along with accompaniments such as collard greens, pickled okra and fried green tomatoes.
