DTSS to Set Up S’mores Stations Benefitting Manna Food Center

UPDATE 11/23/2020 8:56 PM: Both dates are now sold out, according to Laurie Yankowski, regional marketing director for The Peterson Companies.

Downtown Silver Spring will set up two s’mores stations on the plaza Friday, Nov. 27, and Friday, Dec. 11 to benefit Manna Food Center, according to the DTSS website.

For a $5 fee, which goes to the center, groups of up to six people can reserve a 15-minute s’mores roasting period between 5 and 8 p.m. each evening.

Each participant will receive one individually wrapped s’more kit per person and must be present to get a kit.

In addition, visitors can participate in an on-site photo scavenger hunt for a chance to win a $100 gift card to one of the DTSS businesses.

The complex also has posted QR codes around the complex. Scanning the code will reveal special offers of free or discounted items from one of the businesses. The offers change weekly.
