Mandalay Restaurant & Café will soon open a quick-service location at the Ivy City Food Works in Northeast D.C.
Owner Joe Myint sought customer feedback in February regarding a new delivery and takeout location, in addition to the existing full-service restaurant in downtown Silver Spring.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Myint said the upcoming location will offer the full Mandalay menu for takeout and delivery, excluding the Thursday and Sunday specials.
An opening date has not been announced, but Myint also said the downtown Silver Spring location “will still be open as usual” alongside the new Ivy City Food Works location.
In addition to Mandalay, the Myint family owns Bandoola Bowl at Western Market in Foggy Bottom and previously operated Sticx in Georgetown, which closed in 2023 and was subsequently replaced by Han Palace.
Mandalay Restaurant & Café is located at 930 Bonifant Street in downtown Silver Spring and online at mandalayrestaurantcafe.com.
