Java Nation to Open Fourth Location on Wayne Avenue

Java Nation will open its fourth coffee shop/café at 1010 Wayne Ave. in a space vacated by a deli, according to a construction permit posted on the door.

The company operates outlets in Kensington, on Rockville Pike in North Bethesda, and in Kentlands in Gaithersburg.

The company opened its first store in 2012 and features freshly roasted coffee and locally sourced produce, according to its website.

In addition to hot and iced coffee drinks, smoothies, and breakfast/brunch items, the cafés serve lunch and dinner.

For example, the menu of the North Bethesda location lists burgers, a Reuben, turkey BLT, chicken banh mi, and shawarma, among other items, including flatbreads, soups, and salads.

It also features Latin dishes such as empanadas, tacos, and pupusas.

The North Bethesda location also serves cocktails, beer, and wine; there hasn’t been a liquor license application posted in the Silver Spring location as of now, however.

The company has not responded to multiple requests for more information.
