10-Year-Old Girl Found Safe; Taken in Stolen Vehicle

Police say a 10-year-old girl from Hyattsville is safe and unharmed after being taken in a stolen vehicle last night in Silver Spring.

Lorrelys Imelda Benitez was last seen at approximately 10:58 p.m. on November 25 in the 1300 block of Fenwick Lane in Silver Spring, according to an MCPD news release. Benitez was waiting inside of her mother’s gray 2013 Honda Pilot bearing Maryland Registration plate 5EN1799, when an unknown male entered the vehicle. At the time of the incident, the mother of Benitez was not inside of the vehicle. The suspect fled the scene in the stolen vehicle with Benitez inside.
