The Shell Shack Opening Moved to May 8

According to a post this morning on their Instagram account, the debut of The Shell Shack Seafood truck in Silver Spring has been delayed by one week.

“🗣ATTENTION PLEASE! We regret to inform you that due to circumstances beyond our control our mobile restaurant opening will be delayed ONE WEEK! 😩”, the Instagram post reads. “Our new date is next Saturday, May 8th at NOON! Make us a part of your Mother’s Day weekend plans! We plan to have a special brunch! We appreciate you all hanging in there with us during our transition and look forward to seeing you all NEXT SATURDAY! SPREAD THE WORD!”

We reported yesterday that The Shell Shack Seafood would be relocating to Silver Spring. The Caribbean-infused seafood truck will be located near Millennium Salon at 920 Gist Avenue in the South Silver Spring neighborhood, relocating from the Savor Food Hall in Brentwood, which changed ownership and concept last year.

According to the food truck’s website, “The Shell Shack Seafood is a Caribbean-infused seafood bar in the Washington, DC metro area where you can just Eat. Chill. Repeat. We are proud to serve unique and tasty gourmet seafood dishes that have the exceptional flair of the islands.”
