The county has announced its holiday schedule for Veterans Day on Friday.
All county offices will be closed on Veterans Day, as will libraries, state offices and courts.
Trash and recycling pickups will run on the usual schedule and the Shady Grove Processing Facility will be open.
Aquatic and community centers will open as scheduled with the exception of the Germantown Indoor Swim Center, which is closing at 2 p.m. on Nov. 10 and will be closed all day on Nov. 11 for a swim meet.
Classes and programs will meet as scheduled. However, all senior programs will be cancelled, and administrative offices and senior centers will be closed.

The TrIPS Commuter Store in Silver Spring will be open from 6 a.m.-6 p.m., but the Mobile Commuter Store will not operate on Friday. Ride On busses will run on a modified schedule. Parking at public garages, lots and street meters will be free.

Finally, all county liquor stores will be open normal hours.
