County Executive Isiah Leggett will hold a public forum on the Fiscal Year 2018 Operating Budget Wednesday night from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Silver Spring Civic Building, 1 Veteran’s Plaza.

“Public forums are the residents’ opportunity to let me know what is important to them as I prepare next year’s operating budget for submission to the county council on March 14,” said Leggett said in a press release. “Input from residents for the FY18 budget is crucial in helping me determine the county’s budget priorities.”

Once his proposed budget is released, the county council will consider it, provide input and then must approve it by the end of May.

The executive’s office has already released a proposed Capital Improvement Programs budget for Fiscal Year 2018 and beyond. It includes funding for Silver Spring projects.
