Montgomery Parks will close two sections of Sligo Creek Parkway tomorrow, Sept. 18 to vehicles, bicyclists and pedestrians from 8 a.m.–2 p.m.
The sections are:
- Parkway from Colesville Road to Wayne Avenue, and
- Parkway from Kennebec Avenue to Maple Avenues.
Crews will be working in those areas to repair roadway shoulders damaged by last week’s storm.
The National Weather Service reported that Sligo Creek rose four feet in an hour during the Sept. 10 storm. The rain flooded and caused the closures of a number of area roads, including Colesville Road at the Northwest Branch.
