  • Two longtime writers for Razorcake, America’s only nonprofit punk magazine, are on tour with their newest projects. Mike Faloon’s new book Straight Up, Without Wings chronicles the life of renowned jazz multi-instrumentalist Joe McPhee.  Michael T. Fournier’s novel The Impasse finds its protagonists living out their Cold War-era anxieties through roleplaying games and all-ages VFW shows.

Faloon and Fournier co-edit the long-running baseball zine Zisk, and will have a new issue available. Fournier’s 51st installment of the zine Policymaker will also be available.

They’ll be joined by Jeff Barksy of Insect Hospital and Bed Maker at his first-ever reading.

His book on the Minutemen’s 1984 album Double Nickels On The Dime is the 45 th installment of Bloomsbury Press’s 33 1/3 series. He is a regular contributor to Razorcake, America’s only nonprofit punk magazine. He publishes Policymaker zine and co-edits the baseball zine Zisk. Fournier and his wife Rebecca Griffin are two co-founders of Outer Frequencies, a not-for-profit devoted to bringing independent artists and musicians to Cape Cod. Fournier and Griffin play in Plaza, Cape Cod’s #1 band.

Mike Faloon is a writer, musician, and teacher based in NY’s Hudson Valley. He contributes to Razorcake, Roctober, and Vol 1 Brooklyn & publishes Zisk.
