Vintage Movie Night Featuring Anti-War Films

March 2 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Free
  • As we witness the ongoing horror of the war in Ukraine, independent filmmaker Richard Hall will share a variety of vintage anti-war films that draw parallels between the conflict in Ukraine and the Vietnam War and highlight ongoing efforts to promote peace and equality.

The screening will feature anti-Vietnam War films and ads created by peace activists, including the Women’s International League for Peace & Freedom. The Yippies (Youth International Party) take center stage in a delightfully bizarre short film satirizing the protests at the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago. Hall also will screen his own anti-war and mock educational short film titled “Daddy Why Do People Have Wars?”
