The Civil War’s Invalid Corps Film Screening

November 4 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Free
  • Please join us for this screening of a short documentary and a drama about the Invalid Corps, a group of Union soldiers disabled by battle wounds or disease who served honorably and defended the capital in 1864. “Invalid Corps” tells the moving true stories of these soldiers who were mocked as cripples and cowards. “Union” is an intimate drama about a father who must face his past when his daughter, a Union surgeon, returns home with a soldier whose arm she amputated. A Q&A will be held with the directors after the screening.
