Silver Spring-Takoma Thunderbolts Baseball Game
July 15 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm$6
his is a double header baseball between the Silver Spring-Takoma Thunderbolts and the DC Grays.
The T-Bolts play a 36 game schedule in June and July in the six team Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League (of which the T-Bolts are a founding franchise). The League, in addition to the T-Bolts and Grays, is comprised of the Alexandria Aces, the Bethesda Big Train, the Gaithersburg Giants, and the South County Braves (whose home field is in Fairfax County, Virginia). The T-Bolts recruit players locally and nationally; out of town players staying with host families in Silver Spring and Takoma Park.
Our games are played at the Baseball Stadium at Blair High School, 51 East University Blvd. in the Four Corners Area. Admission is $6 for adults, $2 for kids 5-17, and free admission for kids under 5 or kids wearing their baseball or softball uniforms. At each game we have kids races, music between innings, concessions, a trivia contest, a raffle, and great college baseball. There is plenty of free parking in the Blair High School parking lot next to the baseball stadium.
In conjunction with Koa Sports, we offer summer baseball camps led by T-Bolts coaches and players. The final week of camp starts on July 19 and walk-in registration is welcome. The camps are held at Blair High School. More information about the camps and the team in general can be found at www.tbolts.org.
