Jake Blount: African American Roots Music

  • Celebrate Black History Month with the Folklore Society of Greater Washington, and the Library of Congress.

    The Folklore Society of Greater Washington, and the Library of Congress are joining forces to celebrate the contributions of African Americans to American music in a free concert by Washington, D.C. native and ground-breaking Roots musician Jake Blount. The Concert will take place in the Library of Congress’ historic Jefferson Building at 6 p.m. on February 23.

    The concert is part of” Live At the Library”, a series of Thursday night events in the Library of Congress. Details and registration at
