Indivisible Montgomery February Meeting
February 27 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pmFree
Join your fellow Montgomery County residents as we fight to defend justice and democracy in Maryland and the United States. The work continues!
At the February meeting of Indivisible Montgomery, we will welcome guest speaker Andrea Miller, Founding Board Member and Executive Director of the Center for Common Ground and People Demanding Action; Founding President of the National Women’s Political Caucus of Virginia; and Founding Tri-Chair of the Virginia Poor People’s Campaign.
Andrea will talk about the Reclaim Our Vote campaign to defeat voter suppression bills in state legislatures in Georgia and elsewhere and about federal legislation: H.R. 1, the For the People Act, and H.R. 4, the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.
We will also discuss the impeachment trial and Indivisible Montgomery’s plans to fight voter suppression and expand voting rights. Volunteer opportunities abound.
This meeting is free and open to the public. Registration is required to receive the login information. RSVP at https://bit.ly/3ag3R7A
