Garage Rock Night/Suburbs Fest 2022!
October 1, 2022 @ 7:30 pm - 11:30 pm
FreeFree Live music! J. Schnitt kicks things off at 7:30 pm, followed by Late Earth, Wingtip Sloat and Apollo 66 (not necessarily in that order). NO COVER, but donations to the performers will be accepted. Tonight is a collaboration of the monthly Garage Rock night at the Legion and the Suburbs Podcast.
Garage Punk Rock N Roll night is a hidden gem in the DMV. Every first Saturday of the month, head over to American Legion Post 41 in Silver Spring, MD, and you’ll find three or four local bands and sometimes a touring band playing great garage rock/punk derived music.
Organized by local lo-fi garage punk band, Apollo 66, these shows are always free and curated for the pure love of rock ‘n’ roll and the community it creates.
Post 41 has cash a bar (ATM on site) with cheap drinks and a whole bunch of friendly welcoming faces.
COVID-19: Guests should follow local ordinances and CDC guidelines. Also, vaccinations are hip! All the kids are doing it! If masks make you feel cool, then cool you are! We love your faces masked or not (but, please see above).
LOCATION/PARKING: The Legion is located directly behind the Greyhound station on the corner of Fenton St. and Sligo Ave. Enter from the FREE public parking lot (Fenton St. entrance) next to the Greyhound station.
