January 23 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free
  • Join Montgomery County Councilmember At-Large Evan Glass this Saturday, January 23 at 10:00 a.m. for a virtual conference to discuss road safety, the county’s efforts to implement Vision Zero and how residents can best advocate for safer streets.

Keynote remarks provided by Maryland Congressman Anthony Brown, member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.

The conference will include two breakout rooms for additional engagement:

    – Safe Routes to School: this conversation will focus on sharing experiences from students and families who walk to school and around their neighborhoods, and what we can do to keep young people safe.

    – Designing Safe Streets: this conversation will focus on rethinking our street design, how to report an unsafe infrastructure (crosswalks, broken lights, etc) and understanding the engineering possibilities towards creating more safe streets.
