Black History Music and Arts Online Vintage Film Screening Premiere

February 25 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Free
  • To celebrate Black History Month, please join us for the online premiere of a screening of short vintage films featuring the remarkable talents of Black musicians and artists spanning half a century.

Vintage Movie Night host Richard Hall has curated a compelling collection of rare short films, including 1940s newsreels, musical scenes starring Duke Ellington and Bessie Smith, a history of jazz, profiles of famous Black artists, and much more. Most of the films have been restored by the Library of Congress so don’t miss this chance to see and hear how Black musicians and artists have shaped American history.
