Jerry’s Subs and Pizza has opened a new location at 8517 Colesville Rd. in downtown Silver Spring.

The local chain was founded in Wheaton in 1954 and now has its corporate offices in Gaithersburg. Its outlets specialize in various types of cheesesteaks and pizzas, which it advertises as “authentic New York style.”

Jerry’s menu also includes subs, salads, side dishes such as fries, fried mozzarella sticks, fried jalapenos, and other items for in-store, pickup or delivery (at participating locations). The company also offers catering and daily specials.

There are currently 25 Jerry’s location in the region, including Frederick and Hagerstown. The Silver Spring store can be reached at 240.650.0888.
