After experiencing construction delays, HerbaFi will undergo final inspections next week and plans to open in May, according to founder Zeina Frayha and her husband, Terry Saad.
Signs for the medical marijuana dispensary at 8413 Ramsey Ave., across from the Silver Spring Transit Center, went up this week. The dispensary will be the second to open in downtown Silver Spring.
Company staff recently toured Green Leaf Medical, a medical cannabis grower in Frederick County led by Montgomery County native Philip Goldberg.
HerbaFi plans to carry the grower’s products. gLeaf, as the company is known, grows more than 30 strains of pharmacy-grade cannabis with names such as Blue Dream, Blueberry Skunk, Bruce Banner, Sour Diesel, Extreme Oranges, Gorilla Glue, Grease Monkey, Cookies and Cream, Queen Og and Stardawg.
